TURNING A DOUBLE PLAY FROM 2nd

The double play play is the result of good coordination and effective teamwork, usually among the members of the infield.
This play is known as the best friend of the pitcher, as it takes him out of any trouble he is in.

Points to consider:

- Arriving on time at the base is essential so that the 2nd base can be effective by completing the double play.
- Upon reaching the base, the player must place himself with his chest straight in the direction from where the throw is coming.
- The 2nd base must have his right hand near the glove, so that he can make a quick transfer of the ball from the glove to the throwing hand.
