SOME SHORT AND LONG TERM GOALS FOR OUR NATIONAL SPORT

It has been a long time since my last entry, I return here today as I am concerned about the well-being of our players during their passage through the exciting but very difficult path of professional baseball.
I feel that we are improving, although we must still take more practical and realistic measures.
I understand that between the professional baseball commissioner, the federation of professional baseball players, FEDOBE, LIDOM, MLB and the representatives of the Ministries of Education and Sports there must be a real approach, with real solutions.
- Starting not only by giving basic classes to the players in the academies, technical courses should also be offered, focusing on the different work areas needed in the academies.
- Each city must have a special school for young people who practice baseball, a kind of CENAPEC, but exclusively for them, where it allows them to acquire academic knowledge, with a more flexible schedule.
- The National Summer League must be operational but NOW !, putting as a requirement for participating players, prepare for a technical course.
- The maintenance of stadiums in our communities must be a priority.
- All children's categories must have tournaments organized and held permanently on program dates annually.

We just need to meet, organize and create a true comprehensive plan in the short and long term; We have the human material, our young people are talented and fighters, they only need direction.
